1) Field Coordinators

Number of Staffs required: 2

Status: Project Staff.

Qualification and experience:

  • Academic Qualification:

     Bachelor degree in Nursing, Public Health, Health Care Management

  • Required:

      Practical experience in hospital or clinical environment

      Basic Computer skills with command over MS Office Package (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

      Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Nepali

  • Desirable:

      Practical experience in healthcare waste management

      Experience as a trainer in classroom and workplace settings

      Experience with hospital management and committee work

Project Duration: 15 months (Probation Period -1 month)

Training internship: Selected Candidate should attend 1 month unpaid training internship at the beginning of the job.

Duty Station: Kathmandu

Project Objective: Implementing Health care waste management system in four government hospitals in           Kathmandu Valley.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Engage with assigned hospital(s) for training, coordination and data collection support for health care waste management in hospitals.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with hospital(s) and stakeholders within the hospital and local (municipal and provincial) government.

  • Report to the national coordinator and national technical coordinator

  • Coordinate and conduct trainings, workshops and consultations within the assigned hospital(s)

  • Assist in developing case studies and other write-ups/reports as necessary for HCWM progress in specific assigned hospital and share success stories.

  • Write regular reports as necessary on project activities.

  • Participate in weekly calls with the Project Management Team and others as required.

  • Travel required to Kathmandu for training (within 1-3 months of being hired, barring travel restrictions)

  • Assist in the development of publication from the work carried out.

  • Any other work as required by the supervisor and team.

If you have a degree in environmental sciences HECAF 360 may be able to offer you an internship in one of our project areas. This offer extends to both international and Nepali national personnel.
